Free check · Human-delivered
Is your website ready for AI?
More and more people never visit your website directly. They ask ChatGPT, Perplexity or Google's AI Overviews, and act on whatever those assistants tell them. If an AI assistant cannot read your site cleanly, it will not recommend you. We will check yours for free and tell you where you stand.
Send your website address below and Leigh will run the check by hand and email you a short, plain-English report within one working day. No automated scan, no sign-up, no sales pitch.

What this means
What "agent-ready" means in 2026

Search has quietly split in two. Alongside the familiar list of blue links, AI assistants now read the web on people's behalf and hand back a single answer. When someone asks one of them for a recommendation, it reads a handful of sites, decides which it trusts, and names them.
Those assistants read a page very differently from a person. They want clean, structured, machine-readable content, and a few small files that tell them who you are and how your site may be used. Most websites were never set up for any of this, so they get skipped, not because the business is worse, but because the site is harder for a machine to read. Agent-ready simply means an AI assistant can read your site, understand it, and pass it on with confidence.

The check
The seven things we look at
Each one is a plain-English "can an AI assistant work with your site". Here is what we check and why it matters for your business.

1

Your robots.txt and AI crawler rules
This is the rulebook every crawler reads first. We check it welcomes AI assistants instead of quietly turning them away at the door.

2

Your sitemap
A simple map of your pages. Without one, AI tools have to guess what your site contains, and they miss things that should have been found.

3

An llms.txt file
A plain-text summary written for AI. It tells assistants who you are, what you offer and which pages matter, in language they read cleanly.

4

Discovery headers
Signposts in your site's response that point AI tools straight to your machine-readable files, instead of leaving them to hunt around.

5

Content signals
A clear statement of how your content may be used for AI search and answers. Set the wrong way, it can quietly tell AI to leave you out.

6

A markdown version for agents
A clean, clutter-free version of each page that AI can read without wading through menus, scripts and styling to reach the words that matter.

7

Whether AI crawlers are blocked without you knowing
Plenty of sites block ChatGPT and other assistants by accident, often added by a plugin or a host. We check yours is not invisible to them.

We practise what we check. Our own site passes all seven. Cloudflare's isitagentready.com rates stuffedmonkeywebdesign.com Level 4, "Agent-Integrated", its top tier. We run the same check on your site that we passed on ours, and we will not recommend anything we have not done ourselves.
