Shopify, WooCommerce and headless stores that turn Hertfordshire traffic into orders.

Service · E-commerce across Hertfordshire
E-commerce stores that take orders around the clock.
Shopify, WooCommerce and headless stores for Hertfordshire retailers and brands. From a single-product launch to a multi-region catalogue, we build shops that load fast, rank well and turn traffic into revenue.

What we build, and who for
We build online stores for two kinds of Hertfordshire business: the consumer brand selling to the public, and the trade or B2B supplier selling to other companies. They need different things, a consumer shop lives or dies on checkout friction and product photography; a trade catalogue lives on clear brand-and-tool navigation and account ordering, and we have shipped both.

Shopify and Shopify Plus , the easiest path for most product-first businesses.
WooCommerce , best when you already run WordPress or need deep customisation.
Headless commerce , Shopify or WooCommerce powering an Astro or Next.js front end for maximum speed.

What every store we ship includes

Product, Collection, Offer and BreadcrumbList structured data, so Google and AI answers understand exactly what you sell.
Optimised product imagery with AVIF and WebP fallbacks.
Checkout optimisation with Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Integrated email marketing (Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Brevo).
Shipping rules, tax handling and UK VAT compliance.
Analytics and server-side conversion tracking configured at launch.

Two stores, two very different jobs
Case studies say more than a feature list, so here are two that sit at opposite ends of the e-commerce spectrum.
Becker Healthcare sells affordable footcare online across the UK, insoles, corn cushions, nail-care tools and protective padding. The brand voice is plain-spoken and unassuming, and its buyers are often older and reorder the same items. So we built product pages with transparent pricing and rich Product and Offer schema on every SKU, a mobile-first checkout designed around low-friction reorders, and a fast-loading catalogue that ranks for specific searches like "corn cushions UK". The store was built to be found and to be easy, in that order.
Technodiagnostics is the trade case: a mobile remapping and vehicle diagnostics specialist selling to garages and workshops, carrying brands like Autocom, Topdon, GYSFLASH and OSCA. Here the job was not impulse buying, it was helping a technician find the right kit fast, by brand or tool type, and trust the seller. We built a product range organised the way workshops actually search, and foregrounded the training, UK warranty and ongoing support that set them apart from a faceless marketplace. The care is the same; the playbook is completely different.

Selling online from Hertfordshire
There is real, growing e-commerce demand across the county, and Hertford in particular has a cluster of independent brands searching for Shopify help ("Shopify websites Hertford" is a live search we see in the data). St Albans and Harpenden have the affluent, research-heavy shoppers who reward a polished store; Watford and Hemel have the trade and supply businesses that benefit from B2B ordering. Wherever you are, the store should be built for your buyers and tied back to a local landing page so you show up when someone searches with a town attached. Pick your town from the list below, or start with the Hertford or St Albans pages.

Migrations without losing your rankings
Most of the e-commerce work we are asked to do is a replatform, off Wix or Squarespace onto Shopify, off an ageing WooCommerce theme, or off a Magento build nobody wants to maintain. The build is the easy part. The part that protects your revenue is the migration plan: mapping every old URL to its new home, preserving redirects, keeping your existing structured data and rankings intact, and moving customer and order history cleanly. We treat that as the core of the project, because a store that launches beautifully and loses half its Google traffic on day one is a failure, however good it looks.

Pricing
E-commerce builds are fixed-price after a free 30-minute discovery call. As a rough guide, a focused Shopify or WooCommerce launch starts from £3,500 , and larger catalogues, custom integrations and headless builds scale from there. If you would rather spread the cost and have us run the store, hosting, SEO and support for you, the All-In Plan is the managed route. Either way, no hourly surprises, you know the number before we start.

Getting found: e-commerce SEO built in
A beautiful store nobody can find is an expensive hobby, so every build ships with the SEO foundations wired in rather than sold as an extra later. Product, Collection, Offer and BreadcrumbList structured data so Google and the AI answers understand exactly what each page sells; collection pages that target how people actually search ("corn cushions UK", not your internal SKU codes); fast-loading product imagery; and clean, crawlable URLs. Product schema is what puts your price, availability and star rating straight into the search result, and most of your competitors either do it wrong or not at all. It is one of the clearest edges available in retail search, and it costs nothing but doing it properly.

Payments, shipping and the boring bits
The unglamorous parts of a store are the ones that lose or keep the sale. We set up Apple Pay and Google Pay so mobile checkout is one tap, not a form; configure shipping rules and zones so nobody gets a nasty surprise at the last step; handle UK VAT correctly; and wire in server-side conversion tracking so your analytics still work now that browsers block half the old scripts. None of this is exciting, and all of it is the difference between a checkout that converts and one that leaks buyers at the final screen.

Launch is the start, not the finish
A store is never really finished, and the ones that grow are the ones that get looked at every month. Once you are live we watch the numbers that matter: where people abandon the checkout, which product pages engage and which bounce, what visitors type into your on-site search and come up empty on, and where the funnel leaks. Then we change one thing at a time and measure it. That steady loop of small, evidenced improvements usually beats a big expensive redesign, and it is available either as ongoing work or bundled into an All-In Plan so it simply happens without you having to chase it.

Timelines
A focused Shopify or WooCommerce launch typically takes three to five weeks from the discovery call, depending on how ready your product data and photography are. A larger catalogue, a migration or custom integrations stretch that, and we will give you a realistic date at the quote rather than an optimistic one we both regret. Whatever the size, you are dealing with the person building it, not a project manager relaying messages.

When headless is worth it
For most stores, a well-built Shopify or WooCommerce theme is the right answer. But when speed is the whole game, a flash-sale brand, a large catalogue, a store competing hard on Core Web Vitals, we build headless: the shop platform still handles products, orders and checkout, while an Astro or Next.js front end serves the pages as fast static content. It is more to build and more to maintain, so we only suggest it when the performance gain will actually pay for itself. As with everything else, we would rather talk you out of complexity you do not need than sell it to you.
