The Fitness Consultancy

The project

The Fitness Consultancy is an award-winning Pilates and fitness company established in 2006. It runs studio classes in Watford, a women-only studio in Harrow, a full online class programme, personal training and corporate training, five distinct offers under one brand. The risk with that much range is a site that blurs into a wall of class names. We built one that keeps each stream clear, makes the timetable effortless to browse, and ranks locally for the specific Pilates, yoga and barre searches a Hertfordshire client would actually type.

The challenge

A studio that does five things well is harder to present than one that does a single thing. The Fitness Consultancy needed the award-winning studio Pilates, the women-only Harrow classes, the online programme, personal training and corporate work each to stand on its own, for both the reader deciding which is right for them and for Google, which demotes a page trying to rank for everything at once. Twenty years of reputation also had to come through without the site feeling like a chain.

What we built

Each stream gets its own landing page with its own focus and its own local search intent, rather than one catch-all classes page, so the online programme is not fighting the Watford studio for the same query. The timetable is built to browse quickly and links straight to booking. Underneath, the local SEO is tuned to the exact variations people search, "Pilates Watford", "barre classes", "women-only Pilates Harrow", which is what puts the studio on page one for the searches that fill classes.
