Websites for manufacturers and brands that sell in shops and online

Your customers know their problem, not your product codes, and many of them will buy from a shop or a pharmacy instead of from you. We build product sites that meet people where they search and send them to where they can buy. Builds from £750, or rent one for £299 setup and a monthly plan.

What a product brand's website has to do

Your retailers and Amazon often sit between you and the person who uses your product. Your own site is where you get to explain it properly, and then point them to the nearest place to buy.

  • Organise by the problem people have. People search for "heel pain", not a product name. Profoot has a page per foot complaint, and Footcore sorts its range by foot condition.

  • Show where to buy. Stockist details that send people to the shops, pharmacies and marketplaces that carry you.

  • Sell direct, if it suits you. A shop of your own next to your retailers, as London Locks Hair and Becker Healthcare have.

  • Describe products to Google. Product structured data, so search engines know what each page sells and, with Offer data, what it costs.

  • Handle more than one market. Two languages from one CMS, the way Footcore runs in English and Swedish.

  • Let your team add products. A CMS your team can use to add and update products without calling a developer.

Stockists, retailers or your own shop

Not every product brand needs a checkout. Profoot sells through retail partners, so its site helps someone with heel, arch or ball-of-foot pain choose the right product and then sends them to a stockist, without the cost and admin of running a shop of its own.

Others want both. London Locks Hair sells its brushes direct as well as through retail, and Becker Healthcare sells online with a checkout kept short, because a typical Becker order is a reorder. If you are not sure which suits you, we will talk it through before we quote. A brochure site with a stockist list can be a Starteror Standard build; an online shop starts as a Growth build, from £3,500.

Sized for a product brand

Most agencies that specialise in manufacturers build for engineering firms, with datasheets, tenders and budgets to match. We build for brands that make things people buy in shops, such as footcare and haircare. Our builds start from £750 for a Starter site and from £6,500 for a Premium build with a custom CMS and integrations, fixed after a free 30-minute chat.

You deal with the person who designs and builds your site, from the first call to launch and after it. Two of the brands above are a short drive from our studio in Watford, and the rest we work with by phone and video.

Questions from manufacturers and brands

How much does a manufacturer website cost?

Builds you own start from £750 (Starter), £1,500 (Standard), £3,500 (Growth, with a CMS) and £6,500 (Premium, with integrations). A catalogue your team edits, or an online shop, starts as a Growth build. You can also rent a site for £299 setup and a monthly plan from £29 a month. No VAT to add. The price you see is the price you pay. Every price is on our prices page.

How long does a manufacturer website take to build?

A standard small business website takes four to six weeks from brief to launch. Larger CMS projects take eight to 14 weeks. A catalogue goes faster when your product data and photos are ready before we start.

Should a manufacturer sell direct online or only through retailers?

It depends on your margins and on what your retailers will accept. Profoot sells through retail partners, so its site explains the range and points people to a stockist. London Locks Hair and Becker Healthcare sell direct as well. We talk it through before we quote, and a shop can be added later.

Can the website show stockists and where to buy?

Yes. Profoot has a stockist finder that sends visitors to the retail partners that carry its products.

Can you redesign our site without losing our Google rankings?

We keep your page addresses where we can, redirect every one that changes, and carry over the titles and content that already rank. Nobody can guarantee rankings through a rebuild, but rankings are usually lost when pages disappear without a redirect, so we map every page before launch.

Can you build a bilingual or multi-market product site?

Yes. Footcore sells into the UK and Sweden, so every page, product and menu on its site is in English and Swedish, run from one CMS.

Can we add and edit products ourselves?

Yes, on a Growth build or above, which includes a CMS. Footcore's team adds new products without a developer. A Starter site has no self-editing CMS; we make the changes for you.

Do you build product pages with structured data?

Yes. Becker Healthcare has Product and Offer structured data on every product, and Profoot and London Locks Hair carry structured data on their products too.

Do you look after the site after launch?

Yes. A hand-coded site we built can go on our monthly plans with no setup fee, from £29 a month. A site on WordPress or another CMS goes on a care plan at £75 or £125 a month.

Do you work with manufacturers outside Hertfordshire?

Yes. Footcore is in Watford and also sells into Sweden, and London Locks Hair is a London brand. We work by phone and video call anywhere in the UK.
